PAWS Meeting 12-07-07

RecSys'07 Overview
RF gave An overview of the RecSys'07 conference. The sessions were as follows:

• Privacy and Trust
• Collaborative Filtering
• Learning
• User Issues
• Short Papers (poster format)
• Indutry Panels
  

As part of the overview RF summarized two papers. Group members were often initiating interaction with RF due to a mix of confusion and interest in the presentation content. The papers chosen were:

• A Recursive Prediction Algorithm for Collaborative Filtering Recommender Systems
• Incorporating user control into recommender systems based on Naive Bayesian classification

Kudos to RF for good presentation!

Agenda Items
1. PB expressed his concern about group member not using blogs. We should start unless we want to switch to CoPE.

2. TL suggested making both meeting minutes and presentations private. He will create an additional account on WordPress and take care of the rest.
